The Astele is a superior astronomical and terrestrial design because of its lack of chromatic aberration (false color), spherical aberration (distortion), wide field of view and offer diffraction limited optics with enhanced coatings. Every successful work of Russian astronomers is associated with the name of LOMO. LOMO has been involved in development and manufacturing of observatory telescopes of different types for over 65 years. About 100 different telescopes with mirror diameters ranging from 250 mm to 6 meters have been developed and manufactured by LOMO throughout the years. Now many LOMO telescopes are used in Russian observatories as well as in Italy, Finland, Chile, China, Turkey, etc.
The Little Mak 10x30mm Monocular is a unique Monocular/Telescope. Its multi coated optical design is Maksutov Gregorian (the smallest Maksutov design scope on the market) and gives an upright and correct left/right image. Thus, this instrument is made more rugged, because there is no erecting system to come out of alignment. Another important feature is that this instrument uses a mirror to magnify the image, not a lens. A lens will produce false colors (chromatic aberration) and field curvature. It won't be as sharp at the edge of the field of view as the center, but the Little Mak does not have this problem: it is as sharp at the edge as it is in the center. This produces a tack-sharp image. Small enough to fit into a shirt pocket, purse, backpack, etc. – it makes the ideal pocket pal.

ASTELE 60 Dual Astronomical Telescope and Spotting Scope, the ASTELE 60 is a versatile astronomical telescope, spotting scope and telephoto lens. Can be used for astronomy, target spotting, bird watching, nature studies etc.
The optical design of the ASTELE 60 is Maksutov Gregorian. This design does not require the use of lenses, mirrors or prisms to give a fully erect image. Thus, this instrument is more rugged, because there is no erecting system to come out of alignment. Another important feature is that this instrument uses a mirror to magnify the image not a lens. Whether you are looking at a target at 200 yards, a soaring eagle or the rings of Saturn, the ASTELE 60 will provide you with razor sharp images. The ASTELE 60 uses the standard 1.25" eyepieces. We carry hundreds of different ones. It's so handy that you will want to take it with you everywhere. The Case is black nylon. A Screw on Aluminum sun/dew shade is available separately for $15 and is recommended.
