This finder telescope actually lets you see many of the deep-sky objects you are looking for. The Lumicon 80mm Super Finder has a 1.25" helical drawtube-type focuser for easy coarse focusing. Fine focus is achieved by sliding the eyepiece in and out and setting with the thumbscrew. The Super Finder nicely complements any telescope having 8 or more inches of aperture. It also makes for a wonderful, portable, rich-field telescope for beautiful views of the Milky Way. When used with a 1.25" Lumicon Enhanced Aluminum Diagonal, a Lumicon 1.25" UHC (Ultra-High Contrast) Nebula Filter, and a TeleVue 22mm Panoptic eyepiece, the full extent of the Veil Nebula is easily visible (with only 3" of aperture!).
This two-ring finder bracket firmly holds finderscopes to your telescope and allows exact alignment with the main optical axis via six thumbscrews. The base is radius-cut to fit snugly against the telescope's main tube, and the dovetail groove makes it easy to install and remove the finderscope from the base after each use. Fastens in brand name SCT telescope mounting holes.
