Great for looking at the crescent moon and when you need to eliminate glare. XC Stellarvue Chromatic Aberration Filter - Designed by Darren Hennig especially for Stellarvue achromatic refractors and other longer focal length systems with low color. Blocks blue and violet but not as much as many commercial filters which are designed for color laden f-5 telescopes. Our filters are polished to high optical accuracy here in Auburn and coated with a durable AR coating with high transmission. Designed specifically for the 102DN, this filter will reduce false color on the Nighthawk and other refractors by slightly "attenuating" the blue and violet. Also designed to block IR for photographic use. Available Soon XN Stellarvue O-III/Nebular Filter - Designed by Darren Hennig for Stellarvue 80 - 152mm refractors. This 1 1/4" filter is designed to bring out more detail in diffuse nebulae and galaxies while blocking light pollution. The filter passes all important elemental lines, including H-beta, O-III, H-alpha and Sulfur-II. The filter is optimized to allow a brighter image with smaller aperture scopes, and also can be used for astrophotography.
