Who is Vernonscope? They don't advertise much and never have. Vernoscope and produced high end astronomical and nature optics for 43 years. Most famous for the ultra high contrast Brandon 1.25" orthoscopics and as the supplier to Questar for all of their, eyepieces, Barlows, finder lens and internal flip mirrors. Now they have expanded with the best diagonals on the market. All eyepieces, Barlows and Diagonals are 100% American made.

BRANDON eyepieces are noted for their exceptional contrast and extremely dark background, two reasons why Questar Corp. has been using them since 1971 Using Brandon eyepieces, you will also notice a significant difference in the background darkness immediately surrounding a bright object, especially important for planetary or double-star observing. In addition, lunar detail such as the bands of Aristarchus are much better defined. The famous BRANDON oculars incorporate the original optical designs of Chester Brandon, and are acclaimed by leading astronomers as unquestionably the finest ocular set in the world. The top performance of your telescope will be fully realized and appreciated only when the eyepiece is BRANDON. Four element designs give a flat, beautifully correct wide 50° field of view. Precision metal parts are black anodized for antireflection and machined to standard 1 ½" diameter. Parfocal mechanical designs - no need to refocus when changing eyepieces. Threaded at the base to accept all VERNONscope Mounted Glass Filters. Available with Questar Threads

The Best Telescope Diagonal. No exceptions. Brighter 99.5%, and more importantly flatter surface than any other diagonal. All come with individual Zygo Inferograms documenting its accuracy. All are 1/20th wave and often 1/25th wave or 3 times the accuracy of most dielectric coated mirrors. Precision CNC machined out of a solid Aluminum block. Brass no-mar retaining ring and threaded for all 48mm filters. Expensive, yes. Best, yes.
