Here is a high quality binocular viewer (bino-viewer) that comes in a complete system with everything you will need to start binocular viewing in style. The BV3 binocular viewer comes with high contrast, fully multicoated, 22 mm clear aperture, BAK-4 prisms. These prisms provide great deep sky performance. The binocular viewer comes in its own foam padded hard side case. Our new binoviewers are significantly improved with self centering collets and individual focusers that work with all 1.25" eyepieces. This new collet design permits more accurate optical system alignment. Here is a complete system that will work with any of our bino friendly telescopes, SCTs and Maksutovs. This system includes the improved BV3 binoviewer with locking, self centering collets, aluminum binoviewer case and two fully multi-coated 23mm eyepieces. The binoviewer is similar to other imported units but this one is different. Most binoviewers have problems with their inexpensive focusers. Some require three set screws to align the eyepieces and many will not interface with the eyepiece groove properly. This new design uses individual diopter focusers with self aligning collets. This is the best system we have found for maintaining better alignment with properly made eyepieces. The binoviewer itself features high contrast fully multi-coated, 22mm BAK-4 prisms. Weight is only about 22 ounces!. These binoviewers come with our high performance 23mm wide field fmc eyepieces providing a 50 degree field of view and 18mm of eye relief. These are great high contrast eyepieces. These binoviewers work great with 23mm or shorter focal length 1 1/4" eyepieces. Our favorite binoviewing eyepieces are the 19mm Panoptics. For higher power work we like the 9 - 16mm Naglers.
